Say goodbye to the toolbox.
Every stage is built around four things that matter at a live event — and none of them require a single tool.
- Aluminum bodyNo rust, and light enough that a couple of volunteers can move it — not a steel deck that needs a crew.
- Tool-freeLegs, sides and decks go together by hand. No bolts to lose in a parking lot at 6am.
- Reinforced sidesTrussed side frames keep the deck solid under a full choir or a full crowd — less bounce, less vibration.
- Adjustable legsScrew-adjust each leg to level a section on uneven ground, then lock it and move on.

It's easy as 1, 2, 3!
No tools. No bolts. No stress. Here's the entire setup for each 4'×4' section.
1Place the 4 adjustable legs
Screw-adjustable legs let you level each section on uneven ground.
2Slide in the pillars and sides
The trussed side frames slide together by hand for extra stability and less vibration.
3Drop on the top deck
Drop the anti-slip deck on and you are done. Repeat per section, then add rails, steps and skirt.
Full setup — two people, no tools.
Buying vs renting a stage
When renting wins
One event a year, a size you will never use again, or a venue with a loading dock and a crew on the clock. Rental makes sense when the stage is a one-off. In the Los Angeles area we rent our own stages, delivered and built.
When buying wins
A church, a school or a venue that puts a stage up more than three or four times a year usually pays for a rental fleet several times over within a few seasons. Owning it means it is in the building the week before, it is the same stage every time, and there is no truck to wait for. A 12x16 kit at $7,908 with free freight is often less than two rentals.
Pay over time, purchase orders and tax-exempt orders
In-house payment plan
We split the stage into monthly payments ourselves, with no bank application. Ask for the plan on your quote and we send the terms in writing with the order.
Purchase orders
Schools, districts, churches, colleges and government buyers can order on a PO. We issue a W-9, a formal quote and vendor paperwork the same day.
Tax-exempt
Send your exemption certificate with the order and sales tax comes off the invoice. Card and ACH work too.
Portable stage questions
What size portable stage do I need?
Count the people who will be on it at once and give each performer roughly 12 to 16 sq ft, more for a drum kit or a lectern with seated guests. A speaker plus two musicians fits 8x12; a five-piece band fits 12x16; a band plus choir wants 16x20 or larger. Send us the room and the headcount and we draw the layout free.
How much does a portable stage cost?
Kits run from $3,049 for 8x8 to $40,256 for 32x32, with free freight in the continental U.S. Package deals with railings, steps and skirting start at $4,999. The table above lists every size.
How much weight can it hold?
Each 4x4 deck is rated for 2,600 lb evenly distributed, about 164 lb per square foot (800 kg per square meter). A full band with backline, a choir or a seated faculty row are well inside the rating.
How long does setup take and how many people?
Two people, no tools and no bolts. Each section is three steps: place the legs, slide in the side frames, drop on the deck. The full sequence is in the video on this page.
Can it go outdoors or on uneven ground?
Yes. The aluminum frame does not rust and the screw-adjust legs level each section on uneven ground, so a field or a sloped lawn is fine. Add skirting to hide the legs.
What heights are available?
Leg sets run from 16 in to 79 in in ranges, and every leg screw-adjusts within its range. 16 in and 24 in are the usual church and school heights; 32 in and up are for concerts and arenas.
Do I need railings, steps or an ADA ramp?
Railings on any edge people stand near with their backs turned, steps on the side performers enter from (two sets for a graduation line), and an ADA ramp whenever someone who uses a wheelchair will be on stage. Ramp slope is 1:12, so a 24 in stage needs 24 ft of run.
What is the deck surface?
A black anti-slip top on every deck. It reads as a finished stage on camera, hides scuffs, and takes carpet if you want a warmer look.
How do I store and move it?
Decks stack flat and legs nest. Rolling carts ($150 each) let two people move a full stage between a gym and a field or into a closet.
Do you take purchase orders and tax-exempt orders?
Yes, from schools, districts, churches, colleges and government buyers. Send the PO and the exemption certificate and we handle the vendor paperwork.
Is financing available?
Yes. Our in-house payment plan splits the stage into monthly payments with no bank application. Ask for it on the quote.
Is there a warranty?
Every stage carries a 2-year limited warranty in writing covering defects in materials and workmanship.
